    Abstract

    Web-based Question Bank is a web-based repository for storing test or exam questions. Questions exist in the system can be viewed, edited and used to compose test or exam. The system will also act as an online exam center which can auto correct test or exam as well as generate results for the participants. The purpose of developing the proposed system is to develop a Web-based Question Bank for the use of Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology in the future. The system will benefit all lecturer and students in the faculty in many ways. The system is developed using Microsoft Active Server Page.Net(ASP.NET). Other development tools include Microsoft SQL Server 2000 with ADO.NET data access technology. The 3-tier architecture is used in developing the system. Internet Explorer 6.0 is the web browser that can support the system. The sytem consists of 5 major modules: Add and Store Questions, Compose Exam, Conduct Online Exam, Markting and Grading and Displaying Results. The Question Bank is expected to be a repository for storing exam questions systematically, as well as an online exam center which can auto correct the exam generate test results for the students. It is also expected to be a scalable system that can support the growth of users and can be enhanced easily in the future.
