      Abstract

The abstract of this thesis discusses the use of natural materials as a dye to the textile used in Malaysian industrialization. There are many important aspects that need to be emphasized in obtaining a transparent research and discussion that will benefit all respondents involved. In this study, respondents of young ages are weighed to obtain a solid survey findings. This perception-based research is produced by obtaining views and suggestions from the chosen respondents to get a perfect research. Climate change and pollution are an increasingly tangible phenomenon in nature, as well as increasing human needs to use the ever-decreasing nature of resources smarter and sustainably created challenges and competition in various fields such as business, manufacturing and construction. The awareness of human needs to use natural resources has become a major issue in the Malaysian textile industry where fabric produced mostly influenced by synthetic dyes. The natural source of dyes in the Malaysian textile industry is a kind of natural material that comes from herbs, animals and minerals extracts that have been used since long ago that it has been confirmed that it is comfortable and safe if it is embellished in the body. The natural ingredients derived from these plants have the potential to produce many interesting colors. It is influenced by several factors such as plant type, plant age, soil condition or type, time or time of picking (plants) and other factors. However, whether a model based on natural products as a dye or a natural ingredient has been studied from the user's perspective and its uses. Whether consumers are aware of the existence and goodness of nature-based demonstrations as a dye in the manufacture of these clothing products. What is the role of users in improving the creation of creative colors based on natural materials as dyes. Do users understand the value of this natural material. Therefore, in response to each of the above questions, this research will look from the perspective of consumer perspective on the purpose of using this material as a dye in the textile industry in Malaysia. This research is specific to measuring the level of perception and acceptance of consumers towards the coloring material of natural plants in Malaysia in the effort to develop the use of natural materials as natural dyes on textile craft products in Malaysia. In addition, this research also focuses on consumer awareness and understanding of the production of this natural material as a dye to fashion in Malaysia.
