Abstract
Undoubtedly, propagating Islam is among the fundamental and vital aspects of religion especially in the contemporary world where vices are prevailing and virtues are diminishing. This study however, sought to contribute to the corpus of knowledge regarding Islamic propagation as highlighted in the Holy Qur’an and specifically in the first verses of surah Al-Muzzammil and Al-Muddaththir. The study sought to investigate the possible ways of applying the principles and ethics of Islamic propagation as highlighted in the abovementioned Surahs of the Holy Qur’an in our contemporary world. Among other things; the study sheds light on the definition, importance, legal ruling, benefits and historical development of Da’awah (Islamic propagation) both in the Makkan and the Madinese phases. The significance of mutual relationship among the ones who are calling to Islam and the effect of that on the success of Da’awah among both the followers or otherwise the enemies of Islam was also analyzed. The study also pointed out the etiquettes and techniques of Islamic propagation and the forms of rituals that strengthen and build the personality of the Da’iyah (one who is calling to Islam), so as to have his efforts come to fruition. In fact, the current study explores more of the principles and different aspect of Da’awah in the Holy Qur’an and its application in the contemporary world. It similarly provides a stepping-stone for more in-depth research on the subject. Accordingly, several recommendations were offered for further research as well as suggestions to help the ones in charge of Da’awah realize the fruits of their efforts.
